I discovered that a lot of people who come here are suffering from a lack of prosperity in their lives. Actually, truth be told, they’re suffering a lack of cash. The two things are diferent but when most people hear th words “prosperity” or “prosperous” they think of money and riches.

Whilst it’s true that money can’t buy you happiness, it’s also true that there is no joke in being poor, either! But as my good friend Randy Gage always says, what being financially well off (or rich, or whatever you want to call it) does buy you, is the opportunity to live the life you always wanted to live. Whether that be drinking cocktails out of a coconut shell on a Caribbean beach someplace, or devoting your life to being a missionary. Or just something closer to home, something you’re passionate about or a cause you feel strongly about fighting for. You can’t do that if you’re working every waking hour just to pay the rent.

If you’re doing that, you’re not living a prosperous life or a life of abundance which I (and many others) believe we were out on this earth to do. Money isn’t the whole story but it is an important part of the harmony and balance of our lives.

So, how do we go about attracting prosperity to us, and how quickly can we get started? Well, I found, way back on my journey to prosperity, that I was subconsciously blocking it. All of it. It took a major turn around in my life, sure they were all simple things but they all added up. In reality, in the simple terms that I was thinking in, in those days, I needed to live a cleaner, more honest life. I started doing some simple things, every day, that changed my life around. I had been in a terrible “negative loop” of cause and effect. I did things I knew were wrong almost daily. Nothing criminal, but simple things that made me a person that only the “wrong” kind of friends wanted to be around.

These are some of the simple, little changes I made to my life and I found they made me a more “attractive” person to be around. not physically of course, but certainly I discovered, for instance, that prosperous people think totally differently to most other people. I started modelling some of their behaviour and traits and things started to change for me.

Prosperity is an entire mindset and way of living your life, including how you view your life,. Do you look around and see prosperity or desp[air and financial lack? Look for “the good stuff” that surrounds you and celebrate it.

Prosperity loves speed and direct action. Focus on what you want and go for it. Work honourably and sincerely towards your goals.

Goals, yes we all need to set them. Make them SMART, that is; Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relatable and Timed. That way you can keep an eye on the progress towards your lifes goals and the SMART “formula” will prevent you from setting unrealistic targets (such as “I will become an astronaut and fly to the moon on 1st of next month” or similar)

FEAR (” False Evidence Appearing Real”) will quickly sabotage your plans for prosperity unless you keep a handle on it. Some say you should do something scary every day and it’s definitely true that getting out of your comfort zone will help banish your fears and create success.

Out-grow your peers; most people these days are stuck in a negative loop of some kind or another. It is human nature for people in this kind of situation to attract attention to themselves by being “more negative” than everybody else. I’m sure you know people who are always more sick than others, who always have more financial woes and so on. Avoid them!

It takes courage to become prosperous. You will make many decisions that others may not like, and for many their reaction will be to try to hold you back. Not least because, in their view, your progress makes them look bad. It doesn’t, of course but as they are of a negative mindset you’ll probably not change their views.

Self Belief. many people grow up with the programming thats tells them they’re not worthy, that it can’t happen to them, or that success and prosperity ore for “other people”.

Gratitude: be grateful for all the little things and don’t take anything for granted. Whether you call it a prayer or just say in your mind they you’tr grateful for the little things a couple of times per day it will help change the way you think towards prosperity.

So there we have a good start towwards achieving prosperity in our lives. There’s more to it than that, of course but just those eimple disciplines parcticed each day will have a positive impact starting immediately.

If you’re like me, in the past you will have made New Years Resolutions on January 1st, only to find that, by about the 14th at the latest you’ve broken them! I know that I was like this for years; with the best will in the world I could not keep to a resolution for more than a few days at the most.

Then, as I grew and began working on myself, I discovered that 99% of the ability to reach a goal is supplied by our mindset, and that part of our brain cannot process negatives – it just “hears” the positive part.

I was sitting, talking with a good friend one day about this and she said “I’ll prove it”. I wasn’t quite sure what she meant but she went on “No matter jwhat I say or do, do not – and I mean do not under any circumstances imagine that you can see a big, cuddly pink lady giraffe with a long neck, beautiful big brown eyes and long, fluffy eyelashes”. Of course, I could see the giraffe as plain as day despite being told not to think of it. My brain then spent a moment or two trying to erase the thought to no avail. It was pointless, Ms Giraffe was here to stay!

My point in mentioning this is to comment that, like my previous attempts, most people’s resolutions are set incorrectly. For our minds to process them corrdctly and efficiently they need to be set as GOALS, A goal is usually something positive and specific that you have an earnest desire to achieve. The difference can be shown by the millions of people who desire to lose weight. Just concentrating the moind on “weight loss” means what we reallt attain is more weight! Instead, those who are goal-setters will usually have a goal weight in mind. That itself is not necessary, it can be just as productive to have a vision of yourself or of being at a target weight in mind, notnecessarlily of “losing” so much.

It’s also necessary to have an action plan of how you are going to achieve your goal. It’s no good just wanting something without knowing how to get it. That;s like trying to drive somewhere without a map or any idea of which roads to take, nor even which direction to start travelling! Make your goals achievable, but not so big that the end result is too far away; you can always set sub-goals and many people find great satisfaction checking them off as they achieve them.

You should also have a powerful reason “why” you’re wanting to do this, the more powerful the reason “why”, the more successful you will be at attaining your goals because the “why” is the driving force behind the attainment. Similarly, the more specific and visually graphic you can make the goal in your mind, the more successful you are likely to be. The more “real” my friend “painted” the mental picture of the giraffe, the more clearly I could “see” it!

I also blogged about this last year, you can read it by clicking the link just below the “share” bar. Speaking of which, share away if you would, please.

So, a Happy New Year from me and don’t forget you can leave a comment below, I’d love to hear from you and on your thoughts.

Using a journal in your day to day life. Types of journal and how to use them.

On my journey through life I slowly discovered that most successful people keep a journal of some description. At first I didn’t notice and, once I did, I couldn’t figure out why.

But really, it’s simple and it has to do with the difference between successful people, and everyone else. Successful people use journals because it helps them to remember things. Some small things that can make a few pennies difference here and there, and the bigger, life-changing stuff. It all goes into their journal. Succesful people are also happy to share their knowledge with the rest of us and journal notes help to recall the information and can act as a legacy after we’re gone. Where would we be today without the tremendous legacy of Leonardo da Vinci’s journals?

Any kind of information can be stored in your journal; the kind of “eureka moment” that wakes you from a dream at 3am with a brilliant idea, or some notes from a conversation with a mentor who shares some “useful stuff” that we might use next week or next month, or who knows when? Write it all in your journal then you’ll not forget it.

I like using 2 journals but I don’t recommend you use more than this. This is because I have one “pocket sized” notebook and a larger, more fancy journal for more formal thoughts and bigger plans. Mostly I use my pocket one daily for all kinds of interesting thoughts and observations, outline plans of things to do and so on. When I get the chance I make them neater and more structured then I transfer them to the bigger book. Don’t write things like your shopping lists in them, though! These journals are for the important stuff!

As an example, this is what my current pocket jounal looks like right now

But it doesn’t matter what kind of book you use as a journal, the real gold dust isn’t in the fancy leather bound covers or even in the pages inside, it’s contained within the words you add into those simple, blank pages. A spiral bound “Reporters Notebook” will do just as well to start as something unaffordably luxurious.

Just as in all things in life, the biggest part of success is just that we start with whatever tools we have to hand. There’s no need to wait till we have a better journal or even better ideas: start NOW and the rest will show itself to us as we go along.

Do you use a journal? What differences has it made to your business life? Any little gold nuggets in there you haven’t acted on yet? Tell me about it in the comments!

So, yesterday we heard the sad news that Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Computer, and later Apple Inc had passed away.

I know there will be lots of controversy over whether his various products are good or bad, that’s not what this blog post is about. I’d like you to consider the man himself and what he achieved: I consider Steve Jobs to be a mastermind of our age, on a par with one of my great engineering heroes, Lord Armstrong.

A college drop-out, Jobs openly admitted when he made the Commencement Address at Stanford in 2005, that “Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation”. So, he dropped out, how come he did so well for himself then? He is proof positive that you don’t need a degree to make it in this world! The one trait he exhibited, that he shares in common with everybody who ever really succeeeded can be summed up in one word: determination.

That determination changed the world as we know it. Look back to the founding of Apple Computer in 1976; what was the world like then? Our technology consisted of colour TVs that likely still had thermionic valves (vacuum tubes) in there somewhere, and no or at best cable-operated remote control. We were listening to 12″ vinyl records or cassette tapes – or even 8-track players at home or in the car but not on our person, because the humble Sony Walkman hadn’t been invented yet. We were taking photographs on our film cameras that we couldn’t share with friends even if we wanted to unless we’d already been to the developer a day or two beforehand, and were all together in the same room. Contacting a friend meant talking on a phone attached to a wall by a cable or walking to the mailbox to send a letter or card!

How times have changed, and the corporation we now call Apple Inc is at the forefroont of all of those technologies headed for much of the time by Steve Jobs. In his time at Apple he oversaw many innovations and truly massive changes, one step at a time aided by his determination, and an unswerving faith in his corporation’s products. He had a terrific vision of the future and used his determination to push through past the doubts, resistance to change and even criticism, sometimes from within his own corporation!

Just as Napoleon Hill explains to us in “Think And Grow Rich” that Henry Ford assembled a team of engineers to do something he didn’t know how to do himself; cast the engine block of a V8 motor in one piece so revolutionising engine design by eliminating warpage and oil leaks, a technique still used to this day, I don’t claim that Steve Jobs made all of the miraculous changes we’ve seen in modern electronic technology himself though he did oversee many of the massive advances by putting in place teams of software and hardware developers who could find a way, somehow, to make it all come together.

Steve Jobs. Your legacy lives on.

As usual, I’d love to see your comments below, feel free to tell me what you think!

Of course, the answer is “YES” because everything we have, everything we’ve experienced is the result of what we alone have manifested into our lives.

That’s a really hard lesson to learn, because it encompasses everything, the good and the bad, Start by accepting who you are and what you have. Be grateful for ALL of it and don’t beat yourself up over the mistakes or the bad stuff, but rather commit to a plan to learn from them and resolve to achieve a different outcome next time.

I get messages from people, and, although they don’t say it word-for-word, the subtext of their question is “OK, so I’ve watched “The Secret ” TWICE now. When does the Lamborghini appear in my driveway?
The true answer is that it’ll appear when you really have manifested or attracted it into your life, but many people for many reasons sabotage themselves without knowing it or even realising how.

One of the most common culprits for sabotaging your mindset is your self-talk. Do you ever find yourself saying or thinking negative things such as “that’ll never happen to me” or “I’m having a terrible day today”? well, dont!
In the same way that you can affect your unconscious mind by positive repetition, you can also adversely affect it by negative repetition. You’re expecting to receive negative things, and you will receive them!

Take positive action towards your goals, and reinforce it with positive self-talk. Be very aware of the little mind viruses that can introduce negativity and do your best to keep them at bay.

Good luck with your thought processes, drop a comment in below and let’s see if we can help each other start something magical!

It’s a fairly simple question, but if you ask it of most marketers you’re likely to get an answer that leaves the prospective client confused.

Why? Because the answer isn’t specific enough. Many marketers offer a range of goods or services and the prospective client is either confused by the options or doesnt get enough specific info to know that this product or service is for them. I know that feeling, ive seen it countless times myself.

So how do we fix this? Thankfully that question is pretty easy to answer; focus!

Concentrate on just one thing to start with and make sure you concentrate with laser like precision. This is your niche, as we discussed in an earlier post it is what you’re good at. Whatever you have a passion for.
In fact I’ll go further, it should be what your gut feeling tells you to do; what your destiny is.

The more passionate you are about your niche, the more successful you will be, it is as simple as that.

So, what is your passion telling you to do? What can I do to help you reach that point?
Hit me up in the comments section beloe and tell me about it.

Have an incredible day.
Allan

I think it was George Herbert who said “Do not wait; the time will never be “just right.” Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.”

Of course, for most of my life I didn’t believe him. I was the master procrastinator, always putting off things I could have found time to do and even making “easier” things a priority over the hard stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I was always busy, I never had a spare moment; my time was fully filled, all day every day.

My dad has always been an excellent gardener, but not a great teacher and I never had any inkling to learn how to “do stuff” from him, in the garden at any rate. As my parents have aged, we hatched a plan to help dad spread his knowledge and maybe even earn a little income, focussing on his “niche” as a gardening expert by creating some e-products that would help beginners learn the skills they needed to do simple gardening tasks. I’ve aready said he isn’t a great teacher so I hatched a plan to help him, by formulating a series of prducts and asking a simple “menu” of how-to questions that would eventually give me the info I required to create a product that we could sell or give away for free for him. he has absolutely no technical skills at all, so this was carefully planned out so as to be achievable.

Then, one day before we could get started on our project, dad had a stroke. Quite a major one. He was many weeks in hospital and came out a totaly different man, considerably more disabled than before and now, although able to think clearly, he is unable to tell us in the correct words the kinds of things he wants to, nor is he able to go into the workshop and show us because he has much less use of his entire right side than he did before the stroke.

So our little project has had to be put on hold while we find another way to do it. He continues to make progress. The way he is now, compared to how he was 2 months after the stroke is almost like 2 different people, he has made vast improvements so we continue to try to come up with ways to complete the project he wants and he continues to improve his speech and mobilkity, albeit very slowly.

Of course, If I’d got off my behind and actually done something before dad was taken ill, he might have had a little bit of income already which would have helped fund the little luxuries in life, and the more important things that you never realise you need to do, such as change the car for one with a wheelchair ramp and nice, wide-opening doors.

So, that’s my story of how procrastination bit me hard in the backside. Please don’t let it happen to you because you really do not know what tomorrow will bring. Hit me up in the comments and share which projects you are going to make a start on.

“Chase Your Passion, Not Your Pension” is a quote from Denis Waitley, noted author and business speaker.

I sometimes get asked by people about making money online, usually starting with “what is it that you do?”, “how do I get started?” and so on. I know how they feel, because just taking a broad view of marketing generally both online and off, the marketplace is mind-bogglingly massive. I felt very confused by buzz-words and jargon when I started out. Truth is, none of it is relevant. I found that ALL you need (and I really do mean ALL that you need) to get started is some knowledge about a job, subject, hobby or craft that you enjoy doing. You can then pass on that knowledge to others who maybe don’t know as much as you do, or are wanting to learn from scratch about something new that they’ve discovered. You are their expert – even if you don’t know all there is to know about a subject you have useful knowledge you can impart to them and theyre clamouring to hear from you.

The same principles apply to both online and real, physical offline “bricks and mortar” businesses: Chasing the money is pure folly, it may work today and tomorrow but sooner or later you’ll find the work a chore and you’ll start slipping but if you pass along knowledge on a subject you’re passionate about it will show in your work.

The area you choose to market your talents in is called your “niche” and you’ll often hear people referring to niche marketing and the like. You will become your eager customers’ expert in this niche, even if you don’t know it all. You can always expand on your knowledge in your niche, and because you’ve chosen something that you really, really like doing it will be second nature to you, something you most likely would have done anyway thus increasing your knowledge and gaining a better reputation among your customers. It will also become easy for you to write on the subject, because the knowledge will flow easily and you’ll be confident to share it with others.

o, what’s YOUR niche? Do you need help in deciding how to monetize it or can I help you another way? Please hit me up in the comments and let me know how I can assist you.

You know, as marketers of any kind of product it is vitally important to build a relationship with your prospective clients.

One of our cars is in the shop for a dead fuel pump (which also took out a portion of the vehicle wiring when it died). The ONLY place to buy the pump is at the dealership and I HATE doing business with them. They have an attitude problem and their service is so slow as to be ridiculous.

But, because of who they are I have no choice. I don’t enjoy going there and the next car I buy won’t be a make they sell, nor any of the group of 4 or 5 other makes contained within the same manufacturers portfolio. in short, they don’t deserve my business.

As a business model, this means they have to woo every new customer with fake sincerity and empty promises. Hard work indeed, compared with a model of providing every customer with a truly STELLAR buying experience. Customers end up loving you, they recommend you and your products and services to their friends and come back as repeat customers time after time.

THAT one little thing can change your business, my friends and, co-incidentally is one thing that the training among all good Network Marketing companies is absolutely first class at achieving: taking ordinary people with absolutely NO business knowledge and giving them the skills necessary to achieve a great income pretty quickly, from scratch!

So, how are your skills maturing? Hit me up in the comments section and let’s discuss it.

If you’re not “into” MLM or Network Marketing, my next blog post will outline an amazing value-for-money offer which will enable you to both gain the knowledge and skills necessary to see such business success AND earn your investment back several times over (how many multiple times over you earn your small investment back is up to you with the skills outlined in the package). You can even claim authorship of the product, split it up, alter it, sell it or give it away as a promotional freebie – in fact, whatever you want!

To your financial success!

Allan1010
